Piano Dashboard respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have.

Piano Dashboard is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or associated with Simply, JoyTunes, or Simply Piano.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide when you use the site, including:

  • account information, such as your name, email address, encrypted password, and account preferences;
  • screenshots that you choose to upload;
  • performance data extracted from those screenshots, such as song title, artist, notes hit, total notes, timing, assists, stars, level, and play timestamp;
  • comments or other information you choose to enter;
  • basic technical information, such as login/session information, browser information, IP address, upload time, and server logs.

We do not collect music, audio, lyrics, sheet music, or recordings from your device.

2. How Screenshots Are Used

Screenshots are uploaded only so that Piano Dashboard can extract your performance metrics and display them in your personal dashboard.

Screenshots are user-specific. We do not make your screenshots public, and we do not show your screenshots to other users.

After processing, we discard the original high-resolution screenshot. We may retain a small thumbnail or reduced-resolution version for your own upload history, troubleshooting, and verification. These retained images remain private to your account.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • create and manage your account;
  • process uploaded screenshots;
  • extract and store your performance metrics;
  • display your dashboard, history, charts, and related features;
  • provide support and troubleshoot errors;
  • protect the security and reliability of the site;
  • send transactional emails, such as registration confirmation, password reset, and account-related messages.

We do not sell your personal information.

We do not use your uploaded screenshots in public marketing materials.

We do not use your screenshots to train machine learning models.

4. Song and Artist Information

Piano Dashboard uses song titles and artist names only to identify your own performance records and organize your dashboard.

We do not provide lyrics, sheet music, audio, arrangements, backing tracks, or other copyrighted song content.

5. Sharing of Information

We do not share your personal dashboard data or screenshots with other users.

We may share limited information with service providers that help us operate the site, such as hosting, email delivery, DNS, security, logging, or storage providers. These providers may process information only as needed to provide their services.

We may disclose information if required by law, to respond to valid legal requests, to enforce our terms, or to protect the security and integrity of the site.

6. Data Retention

We keep account information while your account is active.

We keep extracted performance data so that we can provide your dashboard and history.

We discard original high-resolution screenshots after processing. We may retain thumbnails or reduced-resolution versions for your own upload history, troubleshooting, and verification.

We may keep server logs and security records for a limited period for troubleshooting, fraud prevention, and site security.

You may request deletion of your account or personal data as described below.

7. Your Choices and Rights

You may request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at:

We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

Where applicable law provides specific privacy rights, we will respond to valid requests within the required time period. In many cases, this means within one month.

We may retain limited information where necessary for security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or legitimate operational purposes.

8. Account Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including password encryption, authenticated sessions, user-scoped access controls, and private handling of uploaded files.

No online service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.

9. Cookies

Piano Dashboard uses cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for login, session management, security, and site functionality.

Piano Dashboard may use Google Analytics to understand aggregate site usage, page views, browser and device information, approximate location, and similar technical analytics. We configure analytics to avoid intentionally sending account names, email addresses, song titles, artist names, uploaded filenames, comments, or other personal dashboard content.

We do not use advertising cookies.

10. Children

Piano Dashboard is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission, please contact us and we will review the account.

11. International Users

Piano Dashboard is operated from the United States of America. If you access the site from another country, your information may be processed in the United States of America or other locations where our service providers operate.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
